Good food, good wine, good company and good conversation are the basic ingredients for a perfect dining experience. Uptown Park has restaurants that appeal to every palate and an atmosphere that will enhance any meal!
Arturo’s Uptown Italiano Restaurante is just what the godfather ordered. Arturo’s is featured on Houston’s Restaurant Week list, benefiting Houston Food Bank. Come over for a 3 course meal (for only $35) and be sure to ask for the “Restaurant Week Menu.” If that menu doesn’t tickle your fancy, choose from the Sauteed Shrimp Fettuccine – it’s our favorite and muy deliciosa! Or try Sonia’s Ravioli stuffed with chicken and porcini mushrooms, topped with white wine basil sauce and jumbo lumb crabmeat. You will be thanking mama mia for days! Arturo’s also features an extensive wine list and desserts to make you swoon.

Also on the Houston Restaurant Week list is McCormick and Schmick’s, another delectable Uptown Park restaurant. McCormick and Schmick’s will satisfy your hunger with a wide variety of fresh seafood, poultry and steak. An expertly prepared dinner, served by attentive staff and complimented with cocktails will easily ensconce patrons with a sense of satisfaction and contentment. Taste perfection when you try their fresh Maine Lobster and for dessert try the fresh blueberry cheesecake, yummmmm….

More into Japanese? Uptown Sushi is chic, fun and the sushi is the best in town. Whether you’re eating light or want the whole roll, wrap, sauce dripping fusion flavor entree, you’ll want to make a reservation for this meal that is sure to to tantalize your taste buds. Let your tummy lead the way to Uptown Park for a meal to remember.

With decisions like these, you will have to plan to make Uptown Park your favorite meal time, dinner time, supper time or chow time destination.

September is right around the corner, which means its out with the summer clothes and in with the fall clothes! Wondering what the fall trends are? You’ve come to the right blog! Let us direct you towards the best fall trends that will seamlessly work with your existing wardrobe. And look no further than Uptown Park for those fabulous fall trends – it’s all here from clothing to accessories for every person in your family, so lets get started!
Fall Fashion Trend #1 – It’s all about juicy bold colors this season.
Dazzle yourself with deep plums, dark blues and olive greens. Shop and sip at Carrie Ann to find beautiful and comfortable knit scarves in bold hues. Paula Bianco’s scarves are the perfect fall accessory. Carrie Ann carries the scarves in dark blue, grey, eggplant and black priced at $95. See Paula Bianco’s infinity scarf pictured below in eggplant.

Fall Fashion Trend #2 – Bring out the prints and patterns.
Don’t be a shrinking violet just because summer is over! Francesca’s Collection Breakthrough dress is a great way to incorporate bold hues and eye catching patterns. Pair this dress with the Mixed Media Necklace and you’ll have a fashionable head start on autumn’s must have items!

Fall Fashion Trend #3 – Get back to basics!
Basically, the basics never go out of style (and they’re a great investment). Even though prints, bold colors, and funky accessories are a huge hit this season, don’t neglect your basic whites and other wardrobe staples. For all your fall basics, head straight to Basiques. A crisp white shirt from Basiques, paired with a camel colored high-waisted skirt can be the most simple, yet chic outfit this autumn. For a night on the town, throw on some chunky bright accessories and you will have suddenly transformed from day to night with the snap of your fingers! These fabulous bracelets below are one of a kind Depetra bracelets from BB1 Classic. We love how these show stopping bracelets add some pizzazz to any classic look.

Fall Fashion Trend #4 – Animal Prints!
Get frisky this fall with animal prints galore! Animal prints stampeded down the fall runways and right over to Uptown Park. Take a walk on the wild side in some hanky panky’s from Top Drawer Lingerie priced at $20 each.

Or take fall fashion into your home with safari inspired pieces from Hanson Galleries. A personal fave is the hand carved wooden sculptures such as the giraffe piece below or the gorgeous African wildlife elephant silhouettes – either piece will give you a taste of an African safari to liven up your home or office!

So step over to Uptown Park and fall into fall fashion! Don’t get down because you’re one day closer to winter and one day further from summer. Embrace the changing season with stylish trends from Uptown Park to perk up your life this fall!
