Wednesday May 27th, join Araya Chocolates at Quattro in the Four Seasons for a superb three course dinner prepared tableside by Quattro's Executive Chef Maurizio Ferrarese, with chocolate as the bridge between the Italian gastronomy and the flavors of the New World.

Explore the world of chocolate, from the tree to the truffle with Stefano Zullian, Owner and Chocolatier of Araya Chocolates. 

Savor roasted cacao beans, a variety of single-origin chocolate bars, and Araya bonbons, as Stefano demonstrates the art of truffle-making by preparing a ganache for your dessert.

Dinner consists of 3 courses for $65 and wine pairings for an additional $30.

Songkran Thai New Year

Songkran is Thailand's most famous festival. An important event on the Buddhist calendar, this water festival marks the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year. The name Songkran comes from a Sanskrit word meaning 'passing' or 'approaching'. Water is an important element of Songkran. Splashing complete strangers with water has become the main attraction of the festival. Buddhists also visit temples throughout Songkran where water is poured on Buddha images and on the hands of Buddhist monks as a mark of respect. Appreciation of family, paying respect to elders and ancestors is another important aspect of the festival, with many Thai people making their way to their hometowns to spend time with older relatives.

The festival officially runs for three days starting on April 13th and finishing on April 15th. Songkran Thai Kitchen celebrates this most auspicious festival with you during the upcoming weekend.

 

Join Songkran in Uptown Park in celebrating this holiday with a Festival Food menu and live dancers on Monday April 13th from 6-8pm.
